Job Duties
Assist in product development of plant-based beverages, meat substitutes, bakery and confections; scale up and product commercialization of both food & beverage ingredients and finished products; develop standard operating procedures, research current and future processing techniques, perform quality testing and shelf life studies on food samples, assist in ordering and stocking ingredients, generate and fill out batch records, assist in pilot plant trials, regularly clean and sanitize pilot plant equipment, develop product specifications for food samples, participate in client visits;
assist in photography and videography sessions, adhere to cGMP.
- Food Science or Culinary graduate or student working towards those degrees.
- Knowledge of culinary and/or food science and application to food.
- Attention to detail, particularly with regard to food safety and hygiene.
- Knowledge of and adherence to the correct operation of food service equipment.
- Excellent communication skills with staff and clients.
- Ability to work independently.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Food science or culinary education (3 years or more of either on the job training or education).
