Visitor Relations

The North Carolina Music Hall Of Fame (NCMHOF) is an industry leading Hall of Fame and museum with a mission to "Recognize, Promote, & Commemorate the musical heritage of North Carolina". We are seeking a Visitor Relations temporary hire to join the NCMHOF team during 2024.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Aid in public awareness of theNCMHOF
• Conducting museum tours
• Clerical tasks that aid the museum's daily business and operations
• Replying to correspondence
• Scheduling appointments/tours
• Gift shop operation
• Promotional material distribution
• Ensure the museum facility is maintained in a clean, safe, secure & organized fashion.
• Representing the organization with the highest level of professionalism.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

Reports directly to the Executive Director

• Enthusiasm and support for music and the NC Music Hall of Fame
• Interest in working with visitors and as a member of a team.
• Ability to work under stress
• Ability to handle situations as they ariseand proactively solve problems
• Basic computer skills are required
• Job requires exerting up to 20pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
• Requires the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Requires a high degree of interaction and engagement with others.

• Temporary Position Work Dates:
  January - December 2024
• Work Days:
  Monday - Friday
• Pay: $10 per hour
• This position is not eligible for any benefits
• This position has a possibility of hours on weekends, evenings, and for special events and programs
