Project Engineer III OverviewUnder the leadership of the Principal Engineer, the Project Engineer III will work with a team of engineers to design and develop site grading and drainage plans, stormwater detention design and modeling, subdivision design, water and sewer system utility design, generation of flood study models and reports, roadway improvements, and provide project coordination and construction administration support.
Responsibilities- Lead the planning, design, and permitting of various site design and roadway projects.
- Manage a team of engineers ensuring work is evenly distributed and deadlines are met.
- Work independently on design and production of construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Communicate effectively with clients, project team, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies, including attending meetings and providing ongoing written and verbal communication.
- Direct and review production of drawings by CAD technicians and design engineers.
- Act as liaison with client, contractors, or others directly on a variety of projects, assisting with required coordination and problem solving between all parties.
- Adapt and thrive in team situations as well as work independently in changing environments.

- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- 10+ years of experience.
- Experience managing a team is a plus.
- Experience interacting with Municipal clients and functioning as a liaison between Municipality and internal staff.
- Excellent written and verbal skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Independent problem‑solver and decision maker.
