Position Title: WAIT HELP

Status: NON-EXEMPT

Location: STORE LOCATIONS

Wait Help staff are responsible for reporting to store management and ensuring all guests are well taken care of. This position provides courteous and efficient guest service throughout the dining experience.

• Greet guests, take orders promptly, and input orders accurately into the POS system.
• Process guest checks and payments properly.
• Serve food and beverages, refill drinks, and bus tables promptly after guests leave.
• Describe menu items, ongoing promotions, and specials proficiently. Respond to guest inquiries purposefully.
• Maintain communication with kitchen staff and inform guests of order status.
• Prepare and serve beverages and desserts.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary work and guest area through constant cleaning, organizing, and replenishing necessary items.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Meet assigned shift requirements.

• Regularly push, pull, and carry objects.
• Stand and walk for at least 6-8 hours.
• Reach at shoulder level and below waist constantly; above head occasionally.
• Bend downward or forward at waist or knees occasionally.
• Talk and listen to communicate instructions.

• Exert up to 20 pounds of force; perform light work.
• Visual acuity including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and the ability to focus.

• Pass a tuberculosis (TB) skin test within 12 months of hire or be at least 16 years old.
• Pass a drug screening test.

• Work in an air-conditioned environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous cash handling and 1+ year experience as a host or server preferred.

• Basic math, writing, and communication skills in English.
• Friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing interaction with guests and co-workers.
• Ability to work independently or in a team, with problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Trustworthy, punctual, dependable, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
