We are looking for a highly motivated, dependable, and trustworthy individual with excellent customer service skills and a keen eye for detail to join Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) as a full‑time janitorial team member. This position requires traveling to various financial facilities from Kaneohe to Kailua, Oahu, to ensure the buildings are maintained according to the assigned cleaning duties. • Uphold a high standard of cleanliness in assigned tasks, including sweeping, dusting, sanitizing, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, and wiping down areas.
• Clean shared spaces such as offices, hallways, and restrooms.
• Demonstrate the ability to multi‑task and work efficiently, both independently and collaboratively.
• Adhere to safety protocols.
• Restock cleaning supplies as needed.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service at all times.
• Empty trash receptacles, wastebaskets, and recyclables, disposing of them in designated areas.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
• Report safety concerns or maintenance issues (e.g., burnt light bulbs).
• Inform the appropriate HBM employee about needed cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Complete all other assigned duties provided by HBM management or property manager.

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
• Must pass a background check and credit check.
• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred, though training is available.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Strong public relations and communication skills are essential.
• Applicants must be capable of performing basic manual labor, cleaning common areas, and frequently lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying a minimum of 30 lbs (up to 50 lbs). They should also be able to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk, and stand throughout their shifts.

Schedule:

6 days a week;
Monday‑Saturday: flexible schedule between hours of 5 pm‑12 am (30+ hours)

Compensation: $16.00 per hour
