Good Shepherd School is seeking a Part-Time Temporary Educational Assistant for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year.
Job Description:
The division employs educational assistants to support teachers in meeting students' needs in their classrooms. An Educational Assistant may be assigned to work with individual students or groups of students under the direct supervision of a teacher.
Duties will include:
- Work with students who have learning, physical, and/or behavioural challenges, as well as perform one-to-one, small group, and classroom duties.
- Support student academics and individualized learning needs, tutorial help, support for English as an Additional Language learners, and other Educational Assistant duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 Diploma
- A Teacher Assistant Diploma or equivalent education in a related field is preferred.
- Able to perform duties with professionalism and confidentiality.
- The successful candidate requires good communication, the ability to follow plans, and the ability to support students who require individualized programs, enrichment, modifications, and/or accommodations to their learning.
- The ideal candidate will be proficient in the use of technology.
- A Criminal Record and Child Intervention Check is required.
Wage is dependent on Qualifications and Experience, with a per-hour rate of $18.37-$28.66.
