Warehouse Shipper​/Receiver

Delta Water Products is one of BC’s premier suppliers for “everything water” including civil waterworks and pipe components, septic design components, agriculture irrigation systems, drip and vineyard systems, residential and commercial irrigation products and so much more. Delta is also one of Canada's largest distributers of pumps and motors servicing multiple industries. We have been in Kamloops for over 40 years and now have 15 branch locations across western Canada servicing BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Washington.

Position:
Warehouse/Shipper/Receiver

At Delta we are looking to add an experienced, full-time employee to our team in the warehouse/yard area. This person would be engaged as both a shipper/receiver and order filler to serve our growing business.

Responsibilities

• This person will work within the warehouse and inventory yard while also providing ongoing support where required to inside sales and showroom sales staff. Duties and responsibilities related to this position are as follows:
• Forklift loading and unloading of courier and transport trucks.
• Pick orders, prepare, and stage merchandise for customer pick up.
• Receiving new orders & data entry work
• Liaise with shipping companies to ensure the timely delivery of product to our customers.
• Loading of orders onto customer vehicles and trailers.
• Detailed inventory counts and restocking of warehouse and showroom shelves.
• Assist in the opening/closing of the yard gates and premises at the start and end of each work day.
• Maintain a clean and tidy yard that is free of debris and packaging materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse facility.

Skills

The successful candidate must be a motivated individual who is capable of working in a physical labour environment for several hours a day. They must exert a professional demeanor, be safety conscious and detail oriented. Forklift operations and knowledge of general warehouse functions are required.
