Dawson Road Maintenance is looking for Seasonal Operators, holding a Class 1 or 3 license, who will skillfully navigate frozen roads, clearing snow and ice, along with other duties to ensure our roadways are safe for all travelers. This position is a temporary, full‑time seasonal role reporting to the Road Foreperson. The role requires an experienced operator to meet company production objectives and work within specified tolerances.

We are currently hiring in 100 Mile House and Bridge Lake and may require some travel throughout the province.

• Prioritize safety of self and others in all aspects of the job
• Work collaboratively with all team members to successfully complete tasks and keep our roads and service area safe and clean
• Perform unskilled manual work requiring little previous training or experience but involving physical effort
• Operate heavy equipment in all weather conditions, on public roadways in a safe and appropriate manner
• Follow direction of the Supervisor regarding daily production schedule and activities
• Maintain a daily activity log of work in progress and status of completion
• Maintain proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment
• Complete all work reports and maintenance logs

• Minimum two (2) years of road maintenance and/or construction experience
• Valid Class 1 preferred, or Class 3 driver’s license required, with air brake endorsement
• Two (2) years commercial driving experience is an asset
• Experience in snow removal is considered an asset
• Knowledge of road construction materials, road construction processes and industry requirements
• Heavy Equipment Operating Certificate an asset
• Able to manage electronic reporting using tablets
• Minor equipment maintenance
