Position Details
Title: Youth Wellness Liaison
Salary: $74,663 - $83,996 - $102,660 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: Term - March 2027
Hours: 37.5 hours (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)
Location: Kamloops, and Kelowna, BC, located on the unceded ancestral territories of the Secwépemc and Syilx Nations.
About the RoleThis role is responsible for providing subject matter expertise and guidance related to health and wellness programs, initiatives, and services which support youth in the FNHA Interior region and its communities. The position works collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to provide advice and guidance in development and implementation of programming and policies to address youth needs, as well as increase education and prevention awareness.
This role will also work on communication pathways to ensure information is meeting youth where they are at.
To be successful in this role, you must have a bachelor’s degree or combination of education and relevant, recent experience relating to youth wellness programs and initiative. Share a passion for community youth support, develop and maintain effective relationships with community, community partners, youth related mental health and public health professionals.
Education- Bachelor’s Degree in Health Social Services, Education, Child and Youth Care, Indigenous Studies or Psychology
- Experience working with First Nations
- Experience working and/or interacting with youth, families and LGBTQIA2s+
- Experience program planning, implementation, management and evaluation
- Experience related to community planning and systems-based child and youth care
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Municipal Pension plan with an employer contribution of 9.31% (after 6 months)
- 3 weeks’ vacation, which increases with service to 4 weeks, plus 5 personal days, 1 volunteer day, and 14 public holidays including National Indigenous People’s Day, National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, Easter Monday and Boxing Day
