** Finning Canada is looking for passionate Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanics to join our awesome team in Kamloops. Heavy Duty Mechanics in our components shop will troubleshoot, repair and maintain a variety of CAT components, such as pumps, cylinders, valves, and hoses.

* Job Description:

**** Major Job Functions
*** Execute component repair or exchange
* Identify warranty, work order management
* Perform a wide variety of equipment repair diagnostics
* Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
* Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)
* Interact with internal and external customers
* Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required  Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current Collective Agreement  
** Specific Skills & Experience
*** Journeyperson Ticket considered an asset
* Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
* Preference for previous engine or powertrain rebuild experience
* Previous repair and troubleshooting experience with Caterpillar general line products would be considered an asset
* Diesel Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be considered an asset
* Transmission or Hydraulic testing would be considered an asset
* Previous engine and power generation experience would be considered an asset
** Important Details:
*** This is a position based out of our Kamloops facility
* 7 x 7 (Wednesday through Tuesday) Continuous Shift
* Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement.
