Senior Technician, Golden Skybridge – Pursuit Collection

Senior level, full‑time seasonal role for Spring/Summer 2026.

This position is posted as part of our seasonal hiring for Spring/Summer 2026 and will be a full‑time seasonal role.

Role & Responsibilities

The Senior Operations Technician supports the maintenance and daily operations of all Golden Skybridge attractions, focusing on safety and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain main attractions and ensure the Preventative Maintenance program is followed.
  • Assign, lead, and work alongside other Operations Technicians.
  • Diagnose equipment problems and determine repairs.
  • Respond to assigned issues promptly following service support priority and assignment levels.
  • Adjust equipment, repair or replace defective parts, and test for correct performance.
  • Maintain cleanliness of tools and attachments.
  • Identify and manage risks, communicating them to management as required.
  • Conduct scheduled inspections of attractions to manufacturer and other appropriate standards (TSBC, ACCT, NFPA, ANSI, CSA).
  • Lead seasonal professional development training as needed.
  • Maintain organized work and storage locations, including accurate record‑keeping of equipment and parts inventory.
  • Maintain accurate records of work orders, maintenance actions, and other administrative tasks.
  • Demonstrate continuous efforts to improve operations, decrease downtime, and enhance processes.
  • Abide by all applicable laws and company requirements, including incident reporting and use of PPE per WorkSafeBC and Technical Safety BC.
  • Report directly to the Operations Manager.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Technical expertise in zipline and challenge course equipment, rigging, course infrastructure, mechanics, and principles of gravity‑powered rides.
  • Self‑starter who can work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong physical stamina and conditioning, able to lift, pull, and push heavy objects, tools & equipment.
  • Ability to work at great heights; IRATA or SPRAT certification required.
  • Able to work outdoors in all conditions experienced in Golden, BC.
  • Able to stand for long periods and traverse unimproved mountainous terrain.
  • Able to lift 90 lbs with assistance; able to work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Sound judgment and decision‑making skills.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Considered an Asset
  • Level 1 ACCT certification or potential to obtain one.
  • Petzl‑certified competent PPE inspector.
  • Experience with mechanical equipment maintenance.
  • Experience with a variety of hand & power tools.
  • Experience in alpine coaster maintenance.
  • Experience in zipline and challenge course equipment maintenance.
  • Experience using CMMS to respond to and log work.
Starting Wage

Starting wage: $24.00/hour.
