Responsibilities
Major responsibilities include:
Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to Occupational Health and Safety regulationsFollow all workplace safety policies and compliance regulations, participate in identifying hazards.Communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries in a timely manner to the supervisor in order to facilitate prompt correction or reporting.Comply with all rules and regulations, protocols and established metrics.Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and welding – fabricating process specifications.Operate welding equipment and manual flame-cutting equipment.Conduct repairs, modifications, and retrofits.Assist in development of repair estimates.Monitor parts usage and report on any material issues.Maintain a working knowledge of changes in welding compliance, practices and techniquesEnsures accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects.Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.Ability to effectively and efficiently prioritize daily work.Accurate completion of work orders and time cards.May be asked to cross train on other/all functions at facility Other assigned work as required.You Possess
Interprovincial Red Seal or Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) tickets (minimum C ticket).Proven experience, 5 years preferred.Must pass physical to ensure bonafide job requirements can be fulfilled.All position welding.Experience with routine maintenance operations.Proven abilities with MIG, TIG and ARC processes.Strong problem-solving abilities.Needs to be responsible, accountable and dependable.Demonstrates strong communication skills both verbally and written.Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.Shows strong initiative and is a self-starter.Ability to work independently in a busy environment.Able to work well under pressure.Strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail.Computer literate.Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.Strong safety mindset#IND
