Bluebird Nest Box Monitor
Location: Merritt, British Columbia (On‑site)
Volunteer Type: Individual, Couple, Corporate
VARC monitors 400 bluebird boxesებლის в районе Merrit from May to August. Volunteers are allocated a route of 15‑20 boxes and are asked to check them every 10 days. All materials, information and training are provided.
Responsibilities- Check 15‑20 bird boxes each 10‑day period during the season (May–August).
- Report which species are using each box, whether eggs or chicks are present, and estimate chick age.
- Participate in training and coordinate with the rest of the team.
- Commit to the entire season; notify in advance if you must miss a check so another volunteer can fill in.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Availability to meet all scheduled checks through the season.
