Job Overview
Interior Health Authority is hiring a Term Specific Full Time Nurse Practitioner at North Hills Care Centre. The clinic provides healthcare for individuals and families in a community‑based family practice setting. Patients can receive care from their primary care provider—either a family doctor or a nurse practitioner—and their teams. Services include general checkups, chronic disease management, reproductive and sexual health, disease prevention, mental health and wellness, and children’s health.
Hours/ Rotation
- Tues‑Fri: 08:00 – 18:00
- Clinic hours: 08:00 – 16:00
- On‑call may be required.

Salary RangeUSD $74.74 – $82.21 per hour (salary within range based on qualifications and experience).

- Diagnosis and treatment: assess, diagnose, treat, prescribe medications within scope and regulatory standards.
- Care management: monitor care, order diagnostics, interpret results, develop tailored treatment plans.
- Patient communication: establish priorities, provide follow‑up, communicate effectively with patients/families.
- Collaboration & consultation: work closely with physicians and healthcare professionals, admit & discharge as policies require.
- Prescribing medication: prescribe within legal and regulatory guidelines.
- Leadership & supervision: lead other nursing personnel, provide education, supervision, and performance evaluations.
- Research & innovation: contribute to practice‑enhancing research, initiate policies.
- Health promotion: lead screenings, focus on at‑risk populations.
- Education & mentorship: facilitate interdisciplinary education, mentoring.
- Policy development: develop, implement, evaluate nursing and health system policies.
- Palliative & long‑term care: responsible provider for palliative, hospice, long‑term care as required.
- Safety & compliance: follow occupational health and safety guidelines, training, incident investigations.
- Additional responsibilities: perform other duties as necessary.
