** Finning Canada is looking for passionate Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanics with extensive component experience to help lead our awesome team in Kamloops. Heavy Duty Mechanics in our components shop will troubleshoot, repair and maintain a variety of CAT components, such as pumps, cylinders, valves, and hoses.

* Job Description:

**** Major Job Functions
*** On-going implementation of the customer service commitment, provide technical expertise on shop floor
* Allocation of work
* Customer repair work
* Handling customer calls
* Monitoring both the quantity and quality of work within the branch
* Ensuring safety standards are maintained
* New employee orientation  Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current Collective Agreement  
** Specific Skills & Experience
*** Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification
* Clean Drivers’ Abstract (5 yr)
* Strong experience in Electrical, Hydraulic and Emissions systems
* Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be beneficial
* Transmission or Hydraulic testing experience
* Completion, or in the process of completing, Finning S-Level courses.
* Leadership skills and the willingness to contribute positively to a quality team environment
* Previous gas engine and power generation experience would be considered an asset
** Important Details:
*** This role is based out of our Kamloops facility on a 7x7 shift
* A condition of employment may include the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable
* ** Union Membership:
