Position Summary

We have an exciting permanent part time (0.50 FTE) opportunity for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join the Mental Health Substance Use (MHSU) Early Psychosis Intervention (EPI) team at the Lansdowne Centre in beautiful Kamloops, B.C.

Salary Range

Effective April 1, 2024, the pay scale for this position is $52.81 to $65.96.

What will you work on?

As a Clinical Psychologist, you will provide comprehensive psychological services — including assessment, individual and group therapy, treatment planning, and behavior management interventions — within your assigned clinical practice area. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team, integrating psychological insights into holistic, evidence-based care and contributing to collaborative treatment planning. In addition to direct client care, you will play a key role in quality improvement, program development, research, and education.

This includes training and supervising students or staff, supporting interdisciplinary initiatives, and ensuring best practices are embedded across services. Through these activities, you’ll help shape innovative mental health programs, enhance patient outcomes, and advance the delivery of high-quality psychological care, all while growing your own expertise in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Scheduling Information

Shift times are from 08:00 to 16:00 hours. Days of work are Monday, Tuesday and every second Wednesday.

About this location/unit

Lansdowne Centre is one of Interior Health’s Mental Health Centres which provide many services including adult community support, adult short‑term assessment and treatment, community residential programs, geriatric programs, crisis intervention, day and outpatient programs, addictions counselling, concurrent disorders services, group therapy, peer support, and after‑hours mental health support.

Qualifications

Education, Training and

Experience:

  • Ph.D. in Psychology or equivalent from a university or school recognized by the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC), with an approved pre‑doctoral internship in clinical psychology.
  • Full registration as a Registered Psychologist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
