Position SummaryThe Accountant, Financial Planning and Budget plays a pivotal role in managing the university's financial planning and budgeting and assists senior leaders in making informed decisions about resource allocation. As a member of the Finance team, reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning and Budget, the Accountant collaborates cross‑functionally to provide financial services, budget planning, and related processes that support academic and administrative leaders.
The Accountant acts as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of departments and offers comprehensive strategic and operational advice, guidance, and гэтыя ж sub‑accounts to support the university’s strategic resource planning in alignment with its mission, vision and values. The Accountant’s financial reports, forecasts, analytical reports, budgets, and variance analyses are essential for monitoring fund expenditures and financial reporting.
The salary range for this position is $76,125.00 – $87,001.00, supplemented by a competitive total compensation package. - 5 – 7 years of progressive accounting experience in a computerized environment, including experience with developing spreadsheets, budgets, forecasts, analytical reports, and financial statements.
- An undergraduate degree in Accounting supplemented by a CPA designation or a graduate degree with progressive experience in accounting, with a focus on budgets, forecasts, analytical reports, and financial statements.
- Post‑secondary financial planning experience preferred.
