DUTIES
The Department of Communication and Visual Arts seeks qualified candidates to teach one section of CMNS 2150:
Collective and Connective Indigenous Voices for the Winter 2026 semester. This course focuses on contemporary media and social networks in English-speaking Canada to explore the recent representations, identities, and cultural politics of the individual and collective Indigenous peoples of Canada, from the questioning of who is Indigenous to cultural appropriation.
This course runs Mondays and Thursdays from 11:30am - 12:45pm.
QUALIFICATIONS
Lived experience and extensive knowledge of Indigenous culture, people, and worldviews
A master’s degree in Communication or in a relevant discipline or interdisciplinary area. Consideration of candidates with bachelor’s degree or diploma and significant relevant experience and/or publication will be given.
