Mission

Terus Construction, a division of Colas Western Canada Inc., is seeking a part-time Shop Helper based in Revelstoke, BC.

This position offers a dynamic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both shop operations and related office tasks. The ideal candidate should possess a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn about the industry, and work according to company and industry safety standards. This role is ideal for individuals interested in gaining practical experience working with and around mobile construction equipment.

Main Responsibilities

• Shop clean-up, organizing, and parts running
• Office support including filing, scanning, and general organization tasks
• Shovel, rake, and wheelbarrow work
• Ensure the safe and effective use of hand tools
• Assisting mobile equipment operators with various tasks, including but not limited to site grading, material placement, preventative maintenance
• Other operational and office duties as required

Requirements/Qualifications

• Must demonstrate the capability to identify safety hazards
• Must be an effective communicator and a team player
• Must follow safety practices in line with the National Safety Code (NSC).
• Must demonstrate strong willingness to learn and adhere to DARCI software.
• Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol policy, including pre-employment testing.
• Must adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

Compensation Data

The anticipated hourly wage for this position is $24.45 CAD per hour . The final compensation package will be determined based on factors including the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
