Claims Pro LP – Competitive salary range: $38,700 – $53,700 annually. Salary Range – $35k – $45k per year.

Loss Adjusting is a fast‑paced, complex field of insurance with no two files quite the same. Whether it is a home fire, a fender‑bender, or an injury caused by a major accident, the Claims Pro team determines coverage, legal liability, and settles claims with excellent customer service.

Claims Pro relies on its Administrative Assistants to support the branch staff and producers in the delivery of quality service to our clients. We have an existing opportunity to add an Administrative Assistant to our team! The key focus of the position is to provide effective and efficient administrative support within a fast‑paced environment. Duties include typing, computer work on internal software, MS Office (Excel) file coordination, filing, reception duties, and may also provide other administrative and clerical support to various branch staff.

Other duties as required.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and prepare new claims assignments to internal adjusters in accordance with predetermined KPIs and client guidelines.
  • Display a positive, “can do” attitude and customer‑service approach, ensuring all inquiries are dealt with promptly.
  • Maintain a professional telephone manner and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem‑solve and work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Organize tasks, re‑prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Interact with all individuals at all organizational levels, demonstrating teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Work well under pressure, maintaining composure in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
  • Maintain applicable information and perform data entry within internal claims‑management software.
  • Send appropriate client acknowledgements, confirmations, and correspondence to clients, claimants, legal representatives, and involved parties.
  • Transcribe data from source documents following standardized procedures, coding skills, and judgment for adjuster review.
  • Collate reports and statements.
  • Process client invoicing for claims and prepare files for closure.
  • Provide administrative support to the branch manager and administrative supervisor as needed.
  • Relieve reception duties: answer phones and forward calls promptly and professionally.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Grade twelve diploma.
  • Post‑secondary diploma in Office Administration preferred.
  • Previous experience within a dynamic team preferred.
  • Experience in an administrative support environment preferred.
  • Insurance experience an asset.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and organize tasks.
  • Initiative and follow‑up skills.
  • High level of confidentiality.
  • Professionalism and strong work ethic.
  • Team‑working ability.
  • Intermediate experience with Word; strong Excel skills required.
  • Aptitude to learn other computer applications.
  • Must pass a background check.
