Asphalt Screed Operator

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following;

* Perform daily equipment inspections

* Perform work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions or behaviors

* Controls material taken into paver and the depth of material being distributed through the paver and smoothness of mat

* Ability to communicate with supervisor and testing technician if there are issues with laydown operations

* Position is expected to assist in operating other pieces of paving equipment including asphalt rollers, power brooms, skid steer loaders, and loaders as needed

* Must be willing to work flexible shifts that include days, nights, and weekends as needed

* Must be willing to do physical labor

* Perform other duties as directed by supervisor

Minimum Qualifications ;

* Must be willing to work in all weather conditions

* Valid driver's license but a CDL is a preferred

* Must pass a pre employment drug screening and background

* Job requires steady to intermittent physical activity including; standing, stooping kneeling, climbing, walking on uneven ground, shoveling, and raking
