OTR Regional Flatbed Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely operate flatbed tractor-trailers according to company and legal standards.
• Pickup and Deliver freight to designated locations, adhering to schedules, deadlines and tracking requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections of vehicles before, during, and after trips to ensure safety and maintenance.
• Secure cargo, verify load accuracy, and ensure compliance with weight limits.
• Maintain and upload accurate records of delivery, mileage, fuel usage, and hours of service.
• Ability to learn our self-dispatch system. This enables our drivers to have more control over their schedule.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and warehouse staff.
• Comply with all Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and safety protocols.
• Perform basic truck maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly.

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), with appropriate endorsements for the type of truck driven.
• Clean driving record and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Knowledge of flatbed freight hauling to include load securement, tarping, loading and unloading.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Experience in flatbed truck driving preferred, but entry-level opportunities may be available for motivated candidates.

Truck drivers may work variable hours, including days, nights, possible weekends. The role may involve long periods on the road, exposure to various weather conditions, and overnight travel. Safety and alertness are crucial at all times.
