CASE MANAGER FLATHEAD VALLEY REENTRY CENTER KALISPELL, MT

The Flathead Valley Reentry Center plays an integral role in shaping the way we deliver structure and accountability while supporting success for residents returning to their community at this first-ever, DOC-owned and operated prerelease center. The Case Manager position is designed to address and support offenders using case management skills related to offender risk/need assessments and referral to and/or delivery of programming, education, treatment, release planning, and transition services. Case Managers build and maintain relationships with community-based service providers.

Duties include but are not limited to case planning, prioritizing, and managing caseloads, release planning, motivational interviewing, conducting risk assessments and facilitating groups related to specific needs of the population. Case managers deliver interventions and incentives to target behavior change. This position will coordinate with other staff in the facility to assess program progress and completion.

This position is located in a correctional facility and will have daily contact with adult offenders serving sentences for felony convictions.

QUALIFICATIONS

The knowledge, skills and abilities for this position are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to:

  • Bachelor’s in criminal justice, psychology, education, or a related field.
  • Two years of job-related experience.
  • Alternative combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
