Arranges the instrumentation to achieve maximum efficiency during an operative procedure, anticipates the needs of the surgeon, maintains the integrity of the sterile field, and participates in counts.

Day in the Life - Surgical Technologist

Location: Logan Health Medical Center – Kalispell, Montana
Schedule:
Schedule: Seasonal assignment for a minimum of 13 weeks

As a Surgical Technologist
, you’ll:

• Master the art of surgical precision by arranging instruments for maximum efficiency.

• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and play a key role in ensuring smooth procedures.

• Maintain a sterile field and follow aseptic techniques to uphold patient safety.

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other specialists to deliver patient-centered care.

• Set up and evaluate equipment to ensure everything is in top working condition.

• Participate in counts and assist in the handling of surgical specimens.

• Assist in patient transfer and post-op care with professionalism and compassion.

What We’re Looking For:

• Certification through the certifying body of the Association of Surgical Technologists, Inc. OR 2+ years of experience as a Surgical Technologist (required).

• AHA BLS Certification (or must be obtained within 2 months of hire) (required).

• Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to work independently when needed

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and adaptability to new software

• Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and patient safety

Nice to Haves:

• Surgical Technologist experience in all of the below areas (preferred):

• Logan Health Medical Center assignment:
