Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 2-3 years of experience for an 8-hour day shift position in a long term and transitional care setting.
Responsibilities- Position is based in an Occupational Therapy unit with 20 TCU beds and 90 LTC beds
- Caseload includes both short-term and long-term care residents
- Typical caseload is 8-10 patients per 8-hour day, including evaluations and treatments
- Uses Meditech EMR; prior experience is preferred
- Floating to the Acute Occupational Therapy department may be required
- Work schedule is primarily weekdays with weekend rotations as needed
- No major holiday coverage required; if coverage coincides with a holiday, substitute assignment to a surrounding weekend is possible
- Provide a full range of occupational therapy services for both evaluation and treatment
- Collaborate closely with therapy, nursing, social work, and management staff
- Supportive team environment with orientation period adjusted to experience and comfort level
- Scrub color is flexible and any color may be worn
- Free parking is available on site
- First-time travelers may be considered for this position
- Current Montana Occupational Therapist (OT) license required if applicable
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- BLS certification required
- 2-3 years of occupational therapy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of current OT materials, equipment, processes, and techniques
- Excellent organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office; ability to learn additional software as needed
