Position Overview
Join a mission-driven healthcare team dedicated to serving U.S. Veterans. The Medical Assistant / Clinical Office Administrator plays a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day clinic operations while providing professional, respectful, and efficient support to Veterans, providers, and staff.

Key Responsibilities- Greet and check in Veterans, complete screenings, verify demographics, and obtain required documentation
- Schedule, confirm, and update appointments; communicate exam instructions and same-day changes
- Receive and triage incoming phone calls and visitors; provide information in accordance with policy
- Chaperone medical exams as required by examiner and exam type
- Maintain accurate compliance files, records, logs, and charts in accordance with HIPAA and federal, state, and local regulations
- Order and manage office supplies and assist with mail distribution
- Serve as point of contact for IT issues, repairs, installations, and record retrieval
- Assist with orientation and onboarding of new staff and practitioners
- Perform light cleaning and sanitization of front desk and common areas
- Support Veterans with service animals and ensure no Veteran is refused service
- Perform additional duties as directed by leadership
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Medical Assisting Diploma or MA certificaiton required
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills with flexibility and adaptability
- Proficiency with computers, including:
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Gmail and Google Drive
- Printer setup and basic troubleshooting
- Ability to learn new systems and software
- Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift or carry more than 50 pounds
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- High attention to detail and professionalism
