Position Overview

Join a mission-driven healthcare team dedicated to serving U.S. Veterans. The Medical Assistant / Clinical Office Administrator plays a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day clinic operations while providing professional, respectful, and efficient support to Veterans, providers, and staff.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a structured healthcare environment and is committed to delivering excellent customer service.

Schedule and Details

Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Permanent assignment!

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and check in Veterans, complete screenings, verify demographics, and obtain required documentation
  • Schedule, confirm, and update appointments; communicate exam instructions and same-day changes
  • Receive and triage incoming phone calls and visitors; provide information in accordance with policy
  • Chaperone medical exams as required by examiner and exam type
  • Maintain accurate compliance files, records, logs, and charts in accordance with HIPAA and federal, state, and local regulations
  • Order and manage office supplies and assist with mail distribution
  • Serve as point of contact for IT issues, repairs, installations, and record retrieval
  • Assist with orientation and onboarding of new staff and practitioners
  • Perform light cleaning and sanitization of front desk and common areas
  • Support Veterans with service animals and ensure no Veteran is refused service
  • Perform additional duties as directed by leadership
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Medical Assisting Diploma or MA certificaiton required
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills with flexibility and adaptability
  • Proficiency with computers, including:
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Gmail and Google Drive
  • Printer setup and basic troubleshooting
  • Ability to learn new systems and software
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift or carry more than 50 pounds
