Location: Mountain/West Zone – must reside in one of the states listed on this job post, ~1 hour or less from a major airport.

Starting Salary: $80,000 - $90,000
OPPORTUNITYThe Coach, Professional Development role plays an integral part in meeting our goals with partners, impacting educator effectiveness, and improving student achievement through the implementation of the EL Education Core Practices and Design Principles. In this role, you will directly execute strategic and tactical support to districts and schools by supporting the implementation and success of our student‑engaged assessment practices and nationally recognized K‑8 Curriculum.
You will report directly to the Partnership Director/Associate Director. This role is external facing, working with a portfolio of schools/districts, and also collaborates cross‑functionally with EL Education coaches and portfolio Directors in order to best serve our partners.
- Regular in‑person coaching at partner sites, typically 3–5 consecutive days per trip, with an average of around 60% travel.
- Understand district and school goals, collaborate with partners, and provide professional development, model implementation tools, and creative, interactive experiences.
- Coordinate and manage professional learning and coaching schedules with school partners to maximize on‑site time and support leaders and teachers.
- Coaching school leaders, coaches and teachers through calibration sessions, walkthroughs, feedback cycles, and lesson modeling.
- Plan and execute structures for successful adult learning: face‑to‑face institutes, virtual professional development, and individual coaching sessions.
- Monitor progress through continuous improvement cycles, provide ongoing support, problem‑solve issues, and partner with building leaders to adjust strategy.
- Manage data and results: service delivery, instructional impact, partner programme satisfaction, and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with colleagues to solve practice problems, create efficiencies, and support broader success of EL Education.

mission‑driven, strategic thinking, relationship skills, outcomes focus and problem‑solving, equity awareness, clear communication. - Experience & Expertise: Minimum 5 years in K‑12 public school classrooms; school leadership experience preferred; K‑8 literacy curriculum implementation preferred; instructional coaching experience preferred; familiarity with EL Education curriculum and practices preferred;
Master’s degree in education, leadership or related field preferred.
