Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental office. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health is maintained and improved. The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for performing a variety of clinical tasks, educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices, and working collaboratively with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient care.
RDHResponsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing oral examinations.
- Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing dental conditions.
- Provide preventive care by cleaning teeth, applying sealants, and administering fluoride treatments.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary choices that impact dental health.
- Maintain accurate medical records and document patient treatments using Eaglesoft or similar systems.
- Assist in the management of the dental office by coordinating appointments and maintaining an organized workspace.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and coding to ensure accurate record‑keeping and billing processes.
- Work effectively with pediatric patients, demonstrating patience and understanding of their unique needs.
Candidates should possess a valid Dental Hygiene license and have experience in a clinical setting. Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental software systems is preferred. A solid understanding of anatomy knowledge, medical records management, medical imaging techniques, and medical terminology is essential. Experience in pediatrics is a plus, as well as proficiency in patient assessment and medical coding. Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care are vital for success in this role.
