Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Utilize GPS systems and traditional means to set grade and conduct construction layout on highways, parking lots and civil sitework projects.
- Must be willing to do manual labor
- Read, understand and verify survey stakes to determine grade specifications
- Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions or behaviors
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires bending, kneeling, climbing, walking and twisting
- Aptitude for math and problem solving
- 2 years working in civil construction including earthwork, paving and concrete preferred
- Ability to read, understand and verify construction plans a bonus
- Troubleshoot situations and solve problems. (material quality/quantity, GPS equipment operation/repair, etc.)
- Willingness to learn equipment operation and other aspects of construction
