Job SummaryWe are looking for a General Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and cleaning of building, grounds, and equipment, troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical problems, and mechanical failures, and prepare and paint machinery and facilities.
Responsibilities- Perform general maintenance and cleaning work of building, grounds, and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, plumbing, heating & air conditioning, and pneumatic systems.
- Prepare and paint all types of machinery, office equipment, factory facilities, and buildings.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment for carpentry, masonry, pipe fitting, welding, plumbing, minor repairs, and low‑pressure hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Assist in loading or unloading machinery, equipment, or material.
- Clean machinery, equipment, or building fixtures as required.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, sketches, and instructions to carry out maintenance tasks.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Minimum four to five years of experience in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance.
- Proficiency in carpentry, masonry, pipe fitting, welding, plumbing, heating & air conditioning, and pneumatic equipment.
- Physical capability to work at heights and perform manual labor.
- Ability to acquire basic maintenance knowledge and use necessary tools.
- Must be able to pass all tests required by the company.
- General supervision is sufficient; ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
- Work under general supervision.
- Assist in loading or unloading machinery or material.
- Move stock, chips, or shavings if required.
- Perform cleaning, scraping, sanding, or other preparation for painting.
- Select and mix proper primers and paints.
- Apply paint by appropriate method (airless, conventional, roller, brush).
- Apply drywall and patching compounds.
- Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic systems.
- Interpret equipment specifications and operate tools.
