The Scientist will support laboratory research activities focused on cell culture and cell-based assays within a BSL-2 environment. This role involves conducting high-throughput testing, maintaining laboratory documentation, and supporting research teams through accurate data collection and analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Perform primary cell culture and execute a variety of cell-based assays independently.
- Conduct high-throughput sample testing in an organized and timely manner.
- Maintain excellent aseptic technique to ensure sterility and quality of cell culture and assay results.
- Work safely within a BSL-2 laboratory environment following all laboratory safety protocols.
- Maintain electronic laboratory notebooks and prepare technical reports and analysis summaries.
- Ensure accurate documentation and record keeping of laboratory procedures and results.
- Support basic laboratory management tasks and troubleshoot experimental processes as needed.
- Perform duties in a timely and organized manner while supporting collaborative research efforts.
- Master’s degree in molecular biology, immunology, cell biology, or a related scientific discipline with 3-5 years of hands‑on laboratory experience, or a PhD with 0-2 years of postdoctoral experience.
- Experience working with primary cell isolation and mammalian cell culture.
- Hands‑on experience with cell‑based assays and laboratory techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced laboratory environment.
- Ability to perform dilution and stoichiometric calculations.
- Experience working with flow cytometry.
- Familiarity with RNAi methodologies.
- Experience working within regulated laboratory environments.
