Quality Technician - Kalamazoo Area

Salary Range: $40,000 - $63,000 depending on experience

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs.
• Document inspection results, identify non-conformances, and generate quality reports.
• Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and support corrective action implementation.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment and tools to ensure accuracy.
• Support the development and revision of quality control plans and inspection procedures.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.

• High school diploma or equivalent;
  Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality assurance or inspection role.
• Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and interpreting technical drawings/blueprints with GD&T.
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and basic Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.

• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, 5S).
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab).
• Familiarity with programming automated inspection equipment (e.g., CMM, vision systems).
• Internal auditing experience for quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
