Laboratory Technician; Overnight

Kelly Science is seeking an Overnight Laboratory Technician for a growing company located in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Summary:

As the Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for analyzing raw materials, in-process intermediates and finished products using analytical instrumentation including Gas Chromatography and Atomic Absorption.

Duties Include:

• Perform a variety of laboratory tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finish product samples including but not limited to, Tinsel Testing, Viscosity, and analysis through Gas Chromatography and Atomic Absorption.
• Maintain detailed documentation of experimental data and interpretation of results
• Contribute to the continuation of quality system AS9100 certification.
• Prepare, complete, update and maintain all reports, records and documentation as assigned.
• Adhering to all lab safety protocols
• Assisting in generating final product certification of analysis for shipments.
• Assisting with general lab maintenance and organization

Qualification:

• Bachelors degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field strongly preferred.
• 2+ years of experience within a QC laboratory
• Previous experience with Gas Chromatography, Atomic Absorption, tinsel testing, viscosity, and melt flow index is a plus.
• Must be able to manage multiple types of testing at once, have strong attention to detail and have strong communication skills.
• Dependability, reliability and strong ethics required.
