Description:
Local rate applied for travelers within specified distance from the facility.
Shift hours are from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
36 hours a week are guaranteed, with the option to pick up additional hours as needed.
The nurse will be expected to work every other weekend.
Floating to similar medical-surgical departments may be required as needed.
Holiday requests are not guaranteed and will be discussed with management.
The unit allows for first-time travelers.
The following patient diagnoses are typical: pneumonia, heart failure, GI bleed, DKA, AMS, and sepsis.
Charge nurse responsibilities include managing three to six patients depending on staffing levels.
Interdisciplinary support is provided by various services including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
The daily census averages 33 patients.
All lab work must be completed within a specified timeframe after signing the contract.
Proof of flu vaccination is required, with exemptions accepted under certain conditions.
Modules training is included during onboarding and must be completed annually.
References are required prior to start.
