Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry (Night Shift) – Kalamazoo, MI 49048

Travel RN – Telemetry (Night) opportunity in Kalamazoo, MI: 13-week assignment in a 54-bed cardiovascular telemetry unit—ideal for experienced cardiac telemetry nurses and travel nursing professionals seeking Michigan telemetry nurse jobs.

• Location: Kalamazoo, MI 49048 (travel nursing jobs in Michigan)
• Assignment Type: Travel RN – Telemetry / Cardiovascular Unit
• Start Date: March 23, 2026
• End Date: June 22, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:30), 3 shifts per week (night shift RN)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,890 – $1,990
• Unit: 3N Cardiovascular Telemetry Unit (54 beds) – cardiac telemetry nurse role
• Patient Ratios: Typically 1:5–6; may be up to 1:7 during call-ins
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Float Requirement: Float to similar units within the hospital or nearby affiliate hospitals as needed
• Charting System: Cerner Power Chart (EMR experience preferred)
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue
• Orientation: 16 hours

• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry RN experience (first-time travel RNs welcome)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility to obtain prior to start (Michigan license or compact license accepted)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (pending accepted if obtained before start)
• Experience with Cerner Power Chart EMR preferred
• Must live at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates accepted)
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to complete up to 8 hours of pre-start modules

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac conditions (heart failure, STEMI/NSTEMI, stroke, arrhythmias, chest pain)
• Perform continuous telemetry monitoring and interpretation; recognize and manage dysrhythmias and escalate changes in patient condition
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips per unit protocols (telemetry nursing skills)
• Perform central line and PICC care, IV starts, blood product administration, and wound care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: PT, Respiratory, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response
• Float to similar units as needed based on census and volume
• Document care accurately and efficiently in Cerner Power Chart
• Maintain professional conduct and adhere to facility policies
