Whatyou will be doing
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in supporting the daily care and overall well‑being of residents. The CNA is responsible for delivering hands‑on, compassionate, and safety‑focused care in accordance with each resident’s individualized care plan. In this role, the CNA provides essential assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility support, ensuring residents maintain dignity, comfort, and independence whenever possible.
CNAs are also responsible for performing restorative nursing procedures, including range‑of‑motion exercises, ambulation assistance, and other supportive interventions designed to help residents maintain or improve functional abilities. The CNA observes residents closely, promptly reporting any physical, emotional, or behavioral changes to licensed nursing staff (RN or LPN) to ensure timely care interventions.
Additionally, the CNA provides prompt, efficient support to nursing personnel, contributing to a positive, team‑centered environment. Working under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), the CNA delivers high‑quality resident care, maintains infection control practices, and upholds all safety standards to promote a secure and supportive living environment for residents.
