Rotating Equipment Reliability Field Technician

• Inspect, test, and validate electro-mechanical equipment performance.
• Execute electrical tests with portable gear (Megger, Surge, HI-Pot).
• Perform mechanical inspections focused on sleeve-bearing machinery.
• Deliver on-site services: electrical testing, vibration analysis, and precise shaft alignments.
• Communicate technical findings to customers and recommend next steps.
• Create and submit detailed service reports.
• Represent HECO’s standards and values at customer sites.

• 2+ years of electric motor field service or millwright experience.
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude; rotating equipment experience is a plus.
• Team-first mindset and strong communication skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and operate in fast-paced environments.
• Attention to detail with strong technical writing skills.
• Travel about 40% with overnight stays as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

• Lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for long stretches.
• Work outdoors and in demanding industrial environments.
• Perform manual labor for 12+ hours per day when required.
