RolePaint / Part Mark Technician
General DescriptionPart marks and paints OEM and CSO parts and assemblies as required.
Working Procedures / Responsibilities- Works with a minimum amount of supervision.
- Works from prints, processes, specifications, and other applicable documentation.
- Mixes paint to process and/or specifications.
- Part marks piece parts and/or assemblies per process sheet or blueprint.
- Cleans, masks, paints, performs touch-up painting and paint stripping on piece parts and assemblies.
- Applies or reapplies dry film lubricant coatings.
- Responsibilities include monthly inventory for age-sensitive materials.
- Responsible for tracking and ordering all paint related supplies.
- Uses good judgment in the care and handling of all tools, equipment and parts in process.
- Keeps equipment and work area clean and in good working order.
- Helps train new employees when necessary.
- Must be able to read and work from process sheets, blueprints, specifications and other applicable documentation.
- Must have one or more years’ experience as an HSD spray painter and know how to properly mix paint and operate all associated equipment.
- Participates in continuous improvement activities/efforts with the classification/department. Participates in lean initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions on areas for improvement.
