Thermoforming Machine Operator – Pactiv Evergreen Inc.

Position located in Kalamazoo (Manchester Road location). Hiring immediately.

Novolex is a leading manufacturer of food, beverage, and specialty packaging. We support multiple industries and provide a broad array of products with 120 categories, 250 brands and over 39,000 SKUs.

• Starting pay: $21.62/hr + $1/hr shift differential paid weekly.
• Eligible for pay increase through skill program.

5:30‑5:30 on a 2‑3‑0 schedule, days and night shift available.

• Week 1:
  Monday work, Tuesday work, Wednesday OFF, Thursday OFF, Weekend work (48 hrs)
• Week 2:
  Monday OFF, Tuesday OFF, Wednesday work, Thursday work, Weekend OFF (36 hrs)
• Week 3:
  Monday work, Tuesday work, Wednesday OFF, Thursday OFF, Weekend work (48 hrs)
• Week 4:
  Monday OFF, Tuesday OFF, Wednesday work, Thursday work, Weekend OFF (36 hrs) and so on.

• Operate production equipment according to process instructions and product specification sheets.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well‑kept work area.
• Assist in training new personnel.
• Support process technicians and maintenance to ensure maximal quality and uptime.
• Monitor blending equipment and perform adjustments as needed.
• Generate breakdown work orders and document downtime.

• Proficient in operating thermoforming machinery.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, diagrams, and metric measurements.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
• Knowledge of SPC data interpretation and adjustment.
• Experience with inventory control, material handling, and quality checks.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication and teamwork in a cross‑functional setting.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three to five years of mechanical or technical experience in manufacturing.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with ERP or peripheral software.
• Excellent written and oral communication.

• Work a 12‑hour shift, standing and walking for extended periods.
• Lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Climb and use safety equipment.
• Perform problem solving and cause‑effect analysis.
