Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled, reliable and compassionate Occupational Therapist and/or COTA to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist or COTA, you will play a crucial role in helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life. This position is based in an outpatient setting with all populations including adult/senior and pediatrics.
Responsibilities- Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' physical capabilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, and sensory integration
- Teach patients adaptive techniques to enhance their daily living activities
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely
- Educate patients and their families on therapy techniques and home exercise programs
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant degree from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist or COTA
- Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred
- Proficiency in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with patients of all ages
- Ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
