Position SummaryThe Analyst I, Clinical Information Systems supports the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Epic clinical applications that support patient care activities across Bronson Healthcare Group. This role works closely with clinical leaders, system coordinators, IT teams, and vendors to ensure clinical systems function efficiently, meet user needs, and align with best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Support Epic clinical applications through design, build, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Participate in system upgrades and new feature implementations
- Analyze clinical workflows and business processes to define system requirements
- Collaborate with end users to gather requirements and support process improvement
- Develop system documentation, project plans, test scripts, and training materials
- Provide proactive user support and resolve system issues
- Work with report writers to ensure appropriate reporting functionality
- Maintain strong working relationships with clinical teams, IT staff, and vendors
- Participate in outage response and system performance issue resolution
- Stay current on developments in clinical information systems and healthcare technology
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current clinical license and/or certification, if applicable
- Epic Application Certification (e.g., Inpatient, Ambulatory) required or obtained within 6 months of hire
- Working knowledge of inpatient and/or ambulatory healthcare operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience supporting Epic or other enterprise clinical information systems
- Familiarity with clinical workflows and healthcare delivery environments
- Ability to analyze workflows and translate clinical needs into system solutions
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Customer-focused mindset with ability to support users at all levels
- Ability to manage priorities, timelines, and stakeholder expectations
- Collaborative approach when working with interdisciplinary teams
Physical Requirements
- Extended computer-based work requiring sustained focus
- Regular sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting of light objects
