Direct Care Specialist!
What You Will Be Doing
As a Direct Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering appropriate services/supports to individuals with co-occurring, severe, and persistent mental illness and/or substance use disorders. The successful candidate will provide skill-building/community living support activities and manage group activities such as cooking, cleaning, and conflict resolution in a challenging, short-term residential environment to help individuals transition from homelessness to housing.
What We Require
High School diploma or GED with at least two years of work experience. Experience in community mental health or transitional housing is preferred. A commitment of two holidays per year and three shifts per month is required. You will need to complete all ISK required trainings per policy.

Working Conditions:
Physical Efforts – The job may involve prolonged sitting and standing. Occasionally, light lifting up to 25 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or bending may be required. Coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot is necessary.
Working Conditions – Office environment with noise from computers, copiers, and telephones. Extended use of video display terminals (VDT) may cause eyestrain. The role may expose you to blood borne pathogens, infectious diseases, and parasites.
