Position SummaryThe Analyst II, Business Information Systems supports and maintains Epic Cadence, Referrals, and related Revenue Cycle applications that impact patient access, registration, and billing across Bronson Healthcare Group. Working independently, this role partners with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to analyze workflows, implement system enhancements, and ensure Epic applications effectively support business and patient care needs.
Key Responsibilities- Support, maintain, and enhance Epic Cadence, Referrals, and related Revenue Cycle applications
- Analyze current and proposed workflows to define system and data needs
- Configure, test, troubleshoot, and upgrade Epic and associated vendor applications
- Collaborate with end users to gather requirements and recommend process improvements
- Develop system documentation, test scripts, and user education materials
- Analyze Epic upgrades and new functionality and communicate changes to stakeholders
- Work with report writers to ensure accurate and effective reporting solutions
- Provide proactive user support and resolve application issues
- Coordinate with Epic and third-party vendors to ensure systems meet organizational needs
- Participate in system outage response and performance issue resolution
- Maintain detailed knowledge of business information systems and their integration across the organization
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in information systems
- Experience supporting at least one Epic module, including Prelude, Cadence, Resolute, and/or HIM
- Epic Application Certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire
- Working knowledge of healthcare administrative operations, including insurance, billing, and reimbursement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Application analysis, design, build, deployment, enhancement, and support
- Workflow analysis and system optimization
- Project management and change control methodologies
- Troubleshooting and system performance optimization
- Understanding of healthcare business processes and terminology
Physical Requirements
- Role requires extended computer-based work with high levels of visual concentration
- Regular standing, walking, and occasional lifting of light objects
- Some repetitive motions and sustained hand-eye coordination required
