Mortgage Sales Intern

The Consumers Credit Union team is looking to hire a passionate Mortgage Sales Intern to join our team. This position offers valuable hands‑on experience in the mortgage industry while supporting our underwriting department with essential tasks and processes.

• Act as a junior Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) or reliever during high‑volume periods.
• Prepare pre‑approval documentation for potential borrowers.
• Submit completed files to underwriting.
• Follow up on homeowner’s insurance (HOI) requirements.
• Conduct BSA property lookups and verification.
• Estimate property taxes for loan applications.
• Review and file documents from Fast App/unassigned queues.
• Pull and organize bank and mortgage statements.
• Support loan officers experiencing higher than normal volume to prevent production lulls.
• Assist with administrative tasks to help maintain workflow efficiency.
• Learn the mortgage application process from start to finish.
• Shadow experienced mortgage professionals.

• College junior or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in learning about mortgage operations and processes.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
• Technology Proficiency – Knowledge of current technology, with the ability to easily navigate multiple software applications. Also, the desire to learn and use new technology.
• Detail‑Oriented Efficiency – Fast‑paced work ethic while maintaining strong attention to detail and organization.
• People‑Focused – Natural ability to connect with others and thrive in collaborative environments.
