CMM Programmer - Manistee Area

Salary Range: $54,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

• Develop, validate, and optimize CMM measurement programs using CAD models and engineering blueprints.
• Interpret complex GD&T specifications to create accurate and efficient inspection routines.
• Operate CMM machinery to perform dimensional inspections of manufactured components.
• Analyze measurement data, identify deviations, and generate detailed inspection reports.
• Troubleshoot CMM program issues, machine errors, and measurement inaccuracies.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure measurement capability and resolve quality issues.
• Maintain CMM equipment calibration and perform routine preventative maintenance.

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Strong understanding and practical application of GD&T principles.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints, CAD models, and specifications.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting CMM equipment and probe systems.
• Knowledge of metrology fundamentals, measurement techniques, and quality standards.

• Experience with advanced CAD modeling for fixture design or model manipulation.
• Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis.
• Experience operating and programming other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners).
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, C#) for CMM software automation or data processing.
