Project Manager- Site

The Civil Engineer will provide design and plan production for general civil design on a wide variety of projects which may include site layouts, horizontal and vertical control, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, and associated civil engineering activities. Will perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection, and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures.

• Performs,providestrainingfor,andguidesqualityassurance,ensuringprojectsgetcarriedoutasdesignedandrecommendmodificationsasneeded
• Abilitytoidentifyengineeringandsurveyingservicesneededbytheclientandtheabilitytodraftproposalsandestimate fees
• Coordinatewithgovernmentagencies,clientstaff,andotherprofessionalstoobtaindesigninformationandapprovals
• Writeandeditconstructionspecificationsandengineeringreports
• Tabulatebiditemsandcalculateconstructionbidquantitiesfromplansandspecifications.
• Estimateconstructioncosts Conductperiodicvisitstoconstructionsitestomonitorqualityandprogressofthework

• Consistentlyexercisesdiscretionandjudgmentinallwork tasks
• Ability to plan, schedule work and complete work assignments within established budgets and timelines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Capable of working with a multidisciplinary team of planners, engineers, surveyors, architects, and technicians
• Broad computer knowledge in particular Microsoft Office products
• Aptitude anddemonstratedhands-on experience with computer applications such as AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Mentoring capability
• Broad knowledgebase of civil engineering projects rather than a subject matter expert in any one civil engineering area

• Reports to Regional Engineering Manager
• May have responsibility for multiple direct reports

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university degree program is required
• 5+ years’ experience in construction or civil engineering field
• Active PE License or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment
