Seelye Auto Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our service team. This role is ideal for a technician with at least 5+ years of hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicles. The right candidate will bring advanced technical knowledge, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering top-quality service that meets and exceeds customer expectations.
ResponsibilitiesPerform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on vehicles across all major systems (engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, etc.)
Accurately troubleshoot complex issues and provide clear recommendations for repairs
Maintain a high level of efficiency while ensuring quality workmanship
Document services performed and communicate effectively with service advisors and customers
Stay up to date with the latest automotive technology, tools, and repair techniques
Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced technicians when needed
Follow all safety protocols, dealership policies, and OEM procedures
5+ years of professional experience as an automotive service technician (Ford experience preferred, but not required)
State of Michigan mechanic certifications required
Current Ford certifications strongly preferred
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Professional appearance and positive attitude
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to pass background, MVR, and drug screening checks
