Summary
Provides business office clerical assistance by performing the following duties. This role offers strong potential for growth within the company, providing the opportunity to begin as part-time or full-time.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department.
- Answers questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other information.
- Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel.
- Assists or prepares sales and order graphs for management review.
- Assists in accounts receivable, invoices to customers, and maintains customer data.
- Receives, sorts, and routes mail, and maintains and routes publications.
- Orders, receives, and maintains office supplies.
- Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, and collating.
- Assists Sales/Engineering with various tasks as assigned.
- Assists with accounts payable and receivables.
- Assists maintenance with contact and scheduling of outside services as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Office Word Processing software.
- Is trained in and follows Company safety policies and procedures. Maintains a safe and clean environment in their work space. Follows all other policies as described in company employee handbook.
