The housekeeping assistant plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. You will be responsible for performing a wide range of cleaning duties, including sanitizing resident rooms, common areas, restrooms, and high‑touch surfaces to uphold community cleanliness standards and infection‑control guidelines. The housekeeping assistant ensures all assigned areas are well‑organized, properly stocked with supplies, and maintained in a way that promotes comfort and safety for everyone in the facility.
This position requires attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to follow established cleaning routines while also responding appropriately to special cleaning requests as they arise. The housekeeping assistant works closely with the care team to support a positive living environment, communicates any safety or maintenance concerns, and helps uphold the community’s standards of quality and hospitality. By contributing to a well‑kept and orderly environment, the housekeeping assistant plays an essential role in enhancing the overall wellbeing and experience of residents.
This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys helping others, and thrives in a collaborative, service‑oriented setting. In addition to daily cleaning tasks, the housekeeping assistant may be cross‑trained to assist with laundry services, including collecting, washing, drying, folding, and returning linens and personal items in a timely and respectful manner.

- Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is a plus but not required.
- Effective time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.
