Gardner Group, a locally‑owned property management company, is seeking a skilled accounting professional to join our collaborative, growth‑minded team. The Portfolio Financial Accountant will be responsible for the financial transactions and monthly financial statements for a dedicated portfolio of our company‑managed condominium and HOA properties.

In the Portfolio Financial Accountant role, you will:

  • Manage the Association Dues and Assessments Receivables including the remote deposit and ACH collection of dues/assessments.
  • Work closely with the AP Accountant to ensure proper coding of operating and reserve expenses and timely payment of AP invoices.
  • Reconcile all bank accounts and balance sheet accounts monthly.
  • Prepare the monthly financial statement package including variance analysis reporting for each property in the portfolio.
  • Work with the association board members to produce an annual budget for each property in the portfolio.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Required Skills/abilities:

    • Strong proficiency in Windows operating system as well as Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
    • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with employee team members and portfolio board members.
    • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a broader team.
    • Ability to maintain a well‑organized electronic data and paper document system.

    Education/

    Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business
    • One - two years relevant work experience
